Michelle G. Wiener, M.A., M.ESt., Ph.D.

Dr. Michelle G. Wiener earned her Ph.D. in Comparative Christian Theology through Euclid University in November 2019. She is a graduate of Lexington Theological Seminary (M.A., 2004) in Lexington, Kentucky, and the Ecumenical Institute Bossey of the World Council of Churches in Geneva, Switzerland, where she received a Master of Ecumenical Studies through the University of Geneva in 2005. She has also completed spirituality courses through David Spangler's Lorian Association.

 

Her Ph.D. dissertation is entitled “Thinking Outside the Cube: Temple Theology as an Emerging and Synthetic Worldview Paradigm for Ecumenical and Interfaith Studies.” Just before the pandemic, she published in the Journal of Philosophy, Culture and Religion, 48 (2020) -- an article entitled "Temple Vision as a Catalyst for Theological Convergence: Ecumenical Renewal in a Post-Ecumenical Era." Currently, Dr. Wiener is an instructor of religion and also teaches Developmental English on the community college level. She is excited to be joining the faculty at St. Anthony, in addition to her day job. Dr. Wiener is a member to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
